I'm a Belfast-based copywriter, freelance journalist and editor with 14 years’ experience working for brands, businesses, magazines, newspapers and websites.
I’m an experienced copywriter and have worked with big brands including H&M, Aldo and River Island to produce marketing, SEO and advertising copy. Currently a copywriter with Queen’s University Belfast, I create high quality, engaging copywriting for print and digital channels and produce relevant, accurate online content that improves user experience.
As a former Deputy Editor at both Cosmopolitan and Shape, and Acting Features Editor at Fabulous, I specialise in real life interviews, human interest stories, social trend reports, and general lifestyle features, covering everything from entertainment, health, relationships, parenting and career.
I’m a frequent features contributor to Cosmo, Fabulous (The Sun), Aquarius and Stylist, and I've written editorial copy for magazines including Woman’s Own, Irish Tatler, Grazia, Sorbet, OK, Women’s Fitness, Harper’s Bazaar, Condé Nast Traveller, That’s Life! and Emirates Woman, and for newspapers like The Daily Mirror and The Irish Independent. I’m also a regular contributor to the Best of Ireland annual.
During the course of my career, I’ve interviewed human trafficking victims, transsexuals, bereaved wives, mothers and sisters, victims of crime, lunched with Claudia Schiffer in Cannes, starved myself at bridal bootcamp and filmed with Kim Kardashian in an underwater suite in Dubai, but none of it has been as challenging as toddler-wrangling my son, born in October 2015.
